Narcissistic abuse is a form of psychological, emotional, and sometimes financial or physical abuse inflicted by individuals with narcissistic traits or Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD). It is characterized by manipulative tactics like gaslighting, isolation, and love-bombing, used to exert control, gain admiration, and maintain superiority over a victim. 

Key Aspects and Tactics of Narcissistic Abuse: - Gaslighting: Manipulating the victim into doubting their own sanity, memories, or perception of reality. - Love Bombing and Devaluation: Initially overwhelming the victim with affection, followed by intense criticism and devaluation. - Isolation and Control: Cutting the victim off from friends and family to increase dependency and control. - Triangulation: Introducing third parties (real or imagined) to create jealousy, insecurity, or confusion. - The Silent Treatment: Using withholding of communication or affection as punishment. - Blame-Shifting and Deflection: Refusing to take responsibility, often turning the blame onto the victim.
