Teachers As Tutors

Johns Creek and Alpharetta Counseling works hand in hand with Teachers as Tutors to offer a holistic approach to your child's emotional and academic needs. Teachers as Tutors offers the following services from certified teachers with classroom experience:

Dr. Katrina Lokken

Dr. Lokken is a clinical psychologist who specializes in conducting psychological evaluations. She works with children, adolescents, and adults, using unique and specialized techniques to help her clients achieve their individual success. With more than 15 years of combined training and experience, Dr. Lokken strives to help individuals achieve their goals, build on their strengths, and improve on their weaknesses. Sugar Hill Church

Johns Creek and Alpharetta Counseling Partners with Sugar Hill Church to offer support & educational groups to the adolescent program within the church. The group titled "Not Alone" will approach difficult subjects such as divorcing parents, depression, anxiety, self harm, relationships, and identity. The goal of JCAC and Sugar Hill Church is to bridge the gap between the challenges of life and one's faith. Pinecrest Academy

Johns Creek and Alpharetta Counseling works closely with Pinecrest to offer counseling services to their students and their families. JCAC and Pinecrest have a built a trusting relationship in which the school counselors, Melissa Sulhoff and Marjorie Poss, and the child's teacher collaborates with the counselor to find the best solutions for your child.

Integrated Psychiatric Services

Integrated Psychiatric Services was established in Alpharetta by Dr. Sonali Bora who believes in evidence-based treatment of emotional and behavioral disorders. Dr. Bora is a board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist committed to improving the emotional lives of her clients. Dr. Bora has worked at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) for 10 years treating complex patients with physical and emotional illnesses. Her practice focuses on integrating the mind and body to improve physical and mental wellness. The practice serves patients ages 4 and up.

To support the growing needs, we have 2 experienced nurse practitioners Stephanie Nnamchi and Jordan Bell who are very closely supervised by Dr Bora. They foster mental wellness through individualized treatment focused on psychological interventions and medication management.
