Child Therapy & Play Therapy:
Young children often express themselves best through play. In my work with children, I use play therapy to create a safe, nurturing space where they can process big feelings, build coping skills, and explore their inner worlds—without pressure or judgment. Whether your child is navigating anxiety, behavioral challenges, trauma, or transitions such as divorce or school changes, I meet them where they are developmentally, helping them feel seen and understood.
Adolescent Therapy:
Adolescence is a time of rapid growth, identity formation, and emotional complexity. I provide a supportive space for teens to explore who they are, express their emotions, and develop healthy ways of relating to themselves and others. I work with issues such as anxiety, depression, peer relationships, self-esteem, school stress, and life transitions, helping teens build confidence and resilience in a world that can often feel overwhelming.
Parent Coaching & Perinatal Mental Health:
Parenting can be both beautiful and incredibly challenging. I offer coaching and support for parents at every stage—from expecting and new parents navigating perinatal mood disorders to caregivers seeking to better understand and support their child or teen. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of your child’s needs, I provide a nonjudgmental space to process your experience and develop practical, compassionate strategies that promote your family’s well-being.
Building Healing Through Safe Relationships:
I believe healing happens within the context of safe relationships, and my goal is to build that foundation with every client and family I serve. If you’re seeking thoughtful, developmentally informed, and deeply supportive therapy for yourself or your child, I’m here to help.
Experience/Education:
I earned my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Alabama, where I developed a strong foundation in clinical skills and evidence-based practices. I am a certified Perinatal Mental Health Counselor (PMH-C) and have received specialized training in play therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Throughout my career, I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including a college campus where I supported students and college athletes navigating the unique pressures of young adulthood, academic stress, and performance demands. I have also provided trauma-informed care and emotional support to children in the foster care system in community-based settings. Additionally, I have experience working with survivors of sexual assault and individuals recovering from eating disorders, helping them rebuild safety, self-worth, and a sense of control. These diverse experiences have strengthened my commitment to creating inclusive, compassionate spaces where healing can begin.
