Associate Professional Counselor
Mikayla has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Ball State University and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Alabama. Mikayla is passionate about working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. She has experience working with a variety of mental health concerns such as trauma, aggression, grief, ADHD, anxiety, and depression.
Mikayla utilizes a vast array of approaches with her clients such as Narrative Therapy, CBT, DBT, and Solution-Focused therapy. She values providing a safe and supportive space to promote opportunities for positive change. Mikayla strives to establish a collaborative, trusting therapeutic relationship with clients in order to help them reach their goals. Each person has a unique story and Mikayla hopes to create a place for her clients to explore sensitive areas of their lives in a judgment free environment. During her free time, Mikayla enjoys watching sporting events, spending time with family, and trying out new restaurants.
