Meet Lillie:
Feeling constantly overwhelmed, overthinking social interactions, or avoiding situations due to fear of judgment are common struggles for individuals facing anxiety. I use person-centered therapy to create a trusting, non-judgmental space where you can explore your fears and worries. Together, we apply cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to identify anxious thought patterns and develop healthier coping strategies. With the right mental health support, young adults can gain confidence, manage stress, and start feeling more in control of their lives.
Teen Therapy:
I work with teens struggling with low self-esteem and poor body image as they navigate anxiety, social pressures, and negative self-talk. Using person-centered therapy, I create a safe, supportive space where teens feel truly heard and understood. Through cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), we challenge unhelpful thoughts, build confidence, and help them regain control over their perspective. With compassionate guidance and evidence-based tools, teens can learn to manage anxiety, build self-worth, and develop a healthier relationship with their bodies.
Child Therapy:
Big changes like moving, divorce, or switching schools can leave kids feeling confused, anxious, and unsure of how to cope or express their emotions effectively. I support children through these difficult transitions using person-centered and non-directive play therapy to create a safe, supportive space where they feel understood. I also incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help them express emotions, manage worry, and build healthy coping skills. With the right guidance, kids can adjust more smoothly, regain a sense of stability, and feel more confident navigating change.
Experience/Education:
I have over six years of experience as a therapist, including two years of practicum and internship training, providing individual therapy to children, teens, and young adults facing a variety of challenges. I am trained in person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands in 2019 and my Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from Auburn University in 2015. I became a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in 2024 and am an active member of the American Counseling Association (ACA).
