RACHEL BRUNELLE
Masters Level Clinical Intern
Rachel is a master’s level clinical intern working under the supervision of the owner and clinical director of Johns Creek and Alpharetta Counseling, Erica Gregory. She is passionate about coming alongside women dealing with relationship problems, life transitions, anxiety, depression, and co-dependency. Rachel also enjoys seeing couples.
She believes we were created to be in relationship with each other. Her approach with clients is a holistic mindset, utilizing empathy and curiosity to connect and empower in the direction of healing, growth, and personal goals.Rachel came to the counseling field by way of journalism. However, long before broadcasting, she yearned to serve. Her curious nature and longing for genuine connection ignited on a mission to Brazil. During her television reporting experience post-hurricanes and covering traumatic events, this desire to meet needs in her community and bring healing was continuously reaffirmed.
Rachel holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Auburn University. She currently attends Richmont Graduate University seeking a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. This institution simultaneously equips clinicians to integrate the Christian faith with psychology when the client prefers. She has gravitated toward a person-centered theoretical orientation favoring tools such as a thorough biopsychosocial assessment, CBT, Narrative Therapy, EFT, Gottman Institute, and Attachment Theory, among other interventions, methods, and modalities.Rachel and her husband Carter live in Atlanta with their English Springer Spaniel, Maggie. They enjoy being with family and friends, serving at church, watching football, grilling out at home, and traveling together.
