Meet Lindsey:
If you’re looking for therapy that goes beyond coping skills to foster real and lasting transformation, you’re in the right place. You may be feeling stuck, disconnected, or weighed down by the past or the pressure of the future. Whether you’re an adult holding it all together on the outside while quietly unraveling inside, a couple longing to reconnect beneath surface tension, or someone navigating the long shadow of trauma, I offer a space to slow down, explore what’s beneath the surface, and reconnect with what matters most. Therapy with me isn’t about quick fixes—it’s about cultivating long-term clarity, emotional freedom, and deeper self-understanding.
Trauma Recovery and Reclaiming the Self:
Do you find yourself stuck in the same patterns, reacting in ways you can’t always explain? Trauma often lives quietly beneath the surface—impacting your relationships, work, and self-view. I help adults and teens uncover and process the emotional weight of trauma stored in the body and nervous system. Using evidence-based approaches like EMDR and trauma-informed care, we work together to restore a felt sense of safety, identity, and freedom—so you can stop reliving the past and start reclaiming your future.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing):
You’ve done the talk therapy. You’ve analyzed the story. But some experiences still trigger visceral responses that feel out of proportion. I offer EMDR to clients ready to resolve the emotional charge behind distressing memories, beliefs, or trauma responses—without having to relive every detail. EMDR helps the brain reprocess stuck material so that old pain loses its power and healing becomes more than intellectual—it becomes embodied.
Anxiety:
If your mind never stops—planning, scanning, second-guessing—you may be experiencing more than just stress. High-achieving individuals often struggle with anxiety masked by productivity or perfectionism. I help clients quiet the internal noise, uncover the deeper fears driving anxious patterns, and build nervous system resilience. You can still be successful without sacrificing your peace of mind.
Depression:
You may appear to be doing fine on the outside, but feel emotionally flat, hopeless, or numb inside. Depression often feels like a quiet erosion of meaning, motivation, and connection—and doesn’t always look like sadness. I help clients make sense of what feels heavy and reconnect with purpose, joy, and their authentic selves. Together, we create space to grieve, release, and rebuild.
Stress & Burnout:
When you’re the one everyone relies on, you learn to suppress your own overwhelm—until it becomes too much. Chronic stress and burnout don’t always look like panic; they often show up as irritability, detachment, or exhaustion. I help high-functioning professionals and caregivers decompress and reconnect with what truly matters. Together, we work toward stepping out of survival mode and creating a more sustainable, balanced life.
Perfectionism:
If nothing you do ever feels good enough—even when you meet your goals—you may be stuck in perfectionism. I work with adults and teens who hold themselves to impossible standards, often as a way to earn love, security, or approval. Together, we explore the emotional roots of these patterns and develop healthier internal narratives grounded in self-worth rather than performance. You can achieve success without sacrificing your sense of self.
High-Functioning Anxiety and Emotional Regulation:
If you appear successful on the outside but feel chronically anxious, reactive, or emotionally drained on the inside, you’re not alone. I work with high-achieving individuals ready to break free from overthinking, perfectionism, and emotional burnout. Using CBT, mindfulness techniques, and somatic awareness, I help clients restore emotional balance, set healthy boundaries, and live with greater intention and calm.
Couples Therapy (Gottman Method):
Even strong couples can feel like they’re speaking different languages. Whether you’re navigating conflict, healing after betrayal, or drifting apart emotionally, I help couples move from frustration to connection using the Gottman Method. Together, we focus on building emotional safety, healthy communication, and shared meaning. When both partners feel truly heard and understood, intimacy and trust begin to grow again.
Inner Child Healing:
Sometimes the part of you reacting isn’t your adult self—it’s the child who learned to shut down, perform, or protect. I work with clients who feel their emotional reactions are bigger than the moment, helping them access, nurture, and heal their inner child. This process is gentle and empowering, often leading to profound clarity and self-compassion. When you care for the younger parts within, your adult self becomes freer to live fully.
Adults:
You may have built a successful life—and still feel like something’s missing. I work with adults navigating identity shifts, relationship challenges, or unresolved emotional pain. Together, we create space for meaningful reflection, emotional processing, and conscious growth. Therapy becomes a place where you don’t have to perform—just explore who you truly are.
Men’s Mental Health:
Men often carry pain in silence—conditioned to fix rather than feel. I specialize in helping men who are tired of “just getting through” and want a deeper, more grounded connection with themselves and their loved ones. Whether it’s anger, numbness, or disconnection, therapy provides a confidential space to explore and process what hasn’t been spoken. True strength doesn’t come from suppression—it comes from self-awareness.
Women’s Mental Health:
If you’re constantly giving to everyone else while ignoring your own needs, you’re not alone. I work with women who are tired of being everything to everyone and are ready to reconnect with their voice, boundaries, and sense of self. Together, we examine old narratives, release guilt, and nurture empowerment from within. This work is both restorative and liberating.
Young Adults:
The pressure to “figure it all out” in your 20s and 30s can feel overwhelming. I help young adults navigate career indecision, identity development, and relationship struggles, often alongside anxiety, perfectionism, or past trauma. This is a season for clarity and intentional direction—and therapy can support you in defining who you want to be, not just what you want to do.
Grief:
If you are navigating the profound pain of loss—whether from the death of a loved one, a significant life change, or unspoken emotional losses—you may feel overwhelmed, isolated, or stuck in a cycle of sorrow. Grief doesn’t follow a linear path, and there is no “right” way to mourn. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your unique experience of grief and begin to find meaning, acceptance, and hope. Together, we’ll honor your emotions, release unresolved weight, and help you reclaim your life with renewed resilience and peace.
Older Adults:
Aging often brings transitions—losses, reflections, and identity shifts that deserve space and respect. I work with older adults navigating grief, loneliness, or existential questions who want to feel emotionally seen in this chapter of life. Our work focuses on meaning-making, self-acceptance, and peace of mind. This is a time not just for coping—but for healing and legacy.
Binge Eating Disorder:
Binge eating often isn’t about food—it’s about emotion, disconnection, and attempts to self-soothe. I work with clients who feel stuck in cycles of shame, secrecy, and loss of control around eating. Together, we focus on healing emotional wounds, reducing triggers, and cultivating self-compassion and embodied awareness. Recovery isn’t about restriction—it’s about reconnection.
Teens Navigating Identity, Pressure, and Purpose:
Teen years can bring overwhelming pressure—grades, social dynamics, identity questions, and the uncertainty of the future. I help teens who feel lost, anxious, or disconnected from themselves explore who they are and who they want to become. Using a blend of Existential Therapy, CBT, and narrative work, I guide them toward clarity, confidence, and meaning—building resilience that lasts far beyond the therapy room. Therapy provides a confidential space to talk, reflect, and grow without judgment.
Existential Therapy:
If you find yourself asking, “What is the point?” or “Who am I really?”, you may be experiencing an existential awakening—not a crisis. I help clients navigate life’s deeper questions with intention and courage. Together, we explore values, mortality, identity, and the freedom to choose how you live. This work isn’t about fixing—it’s about finding meaning, gaining clarity, and living authentically aligned.
Mindfulness and Guided Imagery:
If your mind is constantly racing, jumping from past regrets to future worries, you may feel disconnected from your body—and from the present moment. I incorporate mindfulness and guided imagery to help clients slow down, tune inward, and access inner clarity. Whether you’re managing anxiety, trauma, or a sense of internal chaos, this approach fosters calm, focus, and emotional regulation. Guided imagery helps you access inner wisdom and safety, often unlocking insights that words alone can’t reach. This is a space to breathe, reconnect, and learn to anchor yourself—no matter what life brings.
Parenting Navigation:
Parenting can bring out both our best and most vulnerable selves. Whether you’re navigating behavioral challenges, differing parenting styles with your partner, or simply feeling exhausted by the emotional demands of raising children, therapy can offer clarity and grounding. In individual counseling, I help parents untangle their own upbringing from the choices they want to make now—so they can show up with greater confidence, presence, and compassion. In couples therapy, we explore how to parent as a team—addressing conflict, building alignment, and strengthening connection not just as co-parents, but as partners. Together, we create space for parenting that reflects your values, not your overwhelm.
Online Counseling:
If you value privacy, flexibility, and the ability to engage in meaningful therapy without the added stress of commuting or traffic, online counseling may be the right fit for you. Whether you’re managing a demanding career, balancing family life, or simply prefer the comfort of your own space, virtual sessions allow for deep, effective work without sacrificing convenience or connection. I provide secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth services tailored to meet you wherever you are—emotionally and geographically—so healing can happen on your terms, with the same professionalism and presence you’d expect in a traditional office.
Clinical Supervision for Counselors:
For associate-level clinicians seeking a grounded, growth-oriented supervisory relationship, I offer clinical supervision that balances clinical rigor with human-centered insight. Whether you’re refining your therapeutic voice, navigating complex cases, or building the confidence to transition into private practice, supervision with me provides a collaborative, nonjudgmental space to deepen both skill and self-awareness. Drawing from evidence-based models, trauma-informed frameworks, and years of real-world experience, I support you in becoming an ethical, reflective, and impactful clinician. Supervision isn’t just about checking boxes—it’s about helping you step fully into your identity as a healer.
Experience/ Education:
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensed in Georgia, Florida, and California, with over a decade of experience in mental health. I hold a Master’s degree (M.Ed.) in Mental Health Counseling, an Education Specialist degree (Ed.S.), and a Graduate Certificate in Aging and Geriatric Practice from the University of Florida. I am a National Board Certified Counselor, EMDRIA Certified Therapist, and trained in Levels 1 & 2 of Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I am also honored to serve as a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS), guiding other counselors in their professional growth.
