Meet Jacob:
Reaching out for help can feel daunting, especially when you’ve experienced trauma, loss, or unexpected turns. I meet people where they are in their own journey and help people regain a sense of control of their own lives. Whether this is your first time thinking about talking to someone, or part of your search to find someone who “just gets you”, I will do so in a way that honors and respects your own unique experiences.
Teen & Young Adult Therapy:
I work with older teens and young adults who feel stuck in a rut, caught in cycles, or disconnected from the version of themselves they want to be. Whether you’re processing trauma or navigating life’s challenges, I work with you to explore your experiences and develop coping strategies that support your goals.
Adult Therapy:
I am passionate about helping adults experiencing depression, anxiety, work-related stress, and other challenges that can make daily life a struggle. I work with people of all genders who are navigating life after sexual assault or abuse guiding them through every stage of healing and helping them restore safety, trust, and empowerment.
I support clients navigating identity-related challenges, including those connected to faith and culture, with particular awareness of the experiences of Jewish clients, creating a space where you can process safely, build resilience, and gain confidence and clarity in your identity.
Experience/Education:
I have been an active volunteer for the RAINN National Sexual Assault Hotline for over 12 years, providing crisis support and experience in trauma-informed care.
I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Georgia and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Kennesaw State University. I am currently a Licensed Master Social Worker in the state of Georgia.
During my MSW program, I worked as a student therapist in a fast-paced community mental health setting, supporting diverse clients with a wide range of mental health challenges. I also completed an internship at a national organization advocating for athlete survivors of sexual assault and abuse, gaining experience in survivor advocacy and systemic support.
