Safely Re-opening the Alpharetta Office

We are excited to annouce that we have created a plan to "softly" open the Alpharetta Office Starting May 18th, 2020. This opening is for clients that could not use tele-med services or prefer to be seen in person. We open mindful that COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, state, and local governments and federal and state health agencies recommend social distancing and have, in many locations, prohibited the congregation of groups of people.

The staff of Johns Creek and Alpharetta Counseling (JCAC) has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, the staff of JCAC cannot guarantee that you or your child(ren) will not become infected with COVID-19. Further, attending in-person appointments with JCAC could increase your risk and your child(ren)’s risk of contacting COVID-19.

The Preventative Measures that JCAC is Putting into Place Includes

1) Air Filtration System:

JCAC is installing an air filtration to the HVAC system which includes HEPA Filtration and Electric Ionization Filters. This filtration is recommended by the CDC to decrease the air born transmission of illness. The filtration system will cycle and sterilize the air in the office four times an hour decreasing the risk of air born cross contamination.

**According to the CDC the COVID-19 is spread “through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks. These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs.”

2) Closed Waiting Room:

We are asking clients to wait in their car outside of the office rather than using our waiting room. Your JCAC counselor will summon you in by the front door

3) Staggered Appointment Times:

To decrease contact in the hallway and bathrooms, each counselor will see clients at different times of the hour; on the hour, 15 after, 30 after, and 45 after. Please be on time to your appointment to avoid contact with other clients.

4) COVID-19 Exposure and Illness Clause:

If you have been exposed to someone with a positive diagnosis of COVID-19 within the last 2 weeks, or are displaying illness symptoms of any variety, your appointment will be post-poned your appointment to a later time.

5) Office Cleanliness:

The office will be cleaned daily. In addition, your JCAC counselor will sanitize their counseling office between each appointment.

By Scheduling an In-Person Appointment, You Are:
